Important news for Challenge Madrid 2020
On 21 this month, registrations for Long and Middle Distance open. In the previous edition they sold out in less than 48 hours
The edition for the 2020 year of Challenge Madrid The next 26 and 27 will be held in September with the Long and Middle Distance dispute.

Swimming changes location
The swimming test changes location and returns to what was the first option in the previous edition and will be held at the Beach of the New Virgin (blue flag of the European Community) in San Martín de Valdeiglesias.
The swim will be on Saturday 26
The OPEN WATERS test that will take place on Saturday 26 will also be held at the New Virgin Beach.
The dangerous sections of the M501 are suppressed
With this new location of the T1, the narrow and dangerous stretches of the M501 are suppressed and the last 45 Km are respected by the left lane cut of said road towards Madrid for triathletes.
The numbers will be collected at the official hotel
On Saturday 26 the collection of bibs will be made directly at the official hotel (still to be confirmed, but very close to the T2 in Pozuelo de Alarcón). The check in of the blue bag (run) will be carried out that same day in T2.
In this way the triathlete and companions will be avoided having to go up to San Martín de Valdeiglesias and lose valuable time for rest. Also EXPO, PRESS WHEEL, PASTA PARTY, and BRIEFING will be developed in the same hotel, concentrating everything in a single location avoiding displacements.
On Sunday you can check your bike
On Sunday 27 a fast bike check-in will take place prior to the respective departures of both the Long Distance and the Middle Distance.
The red bag (bike) will also be taken on the same Sunday and will be left in T1 at the same time that the bike is checked in. Once the test is finished at the Puerta del Sol, the green bag (street wear) will be collected on the same finish line.
The objective, to facilitate the participation of the triathlete
With these modifications the organization of Challenge Madrid intends to facilitate as much as possible to the triathlete and companions the complex mechanics of this test that because of its uniqueness has no reference.
It has been in the intention of the organization to listen to the diverse opinions that have come to us during this last month and to adapt the test to the demands of the triathletes.
That is why this year we improve an already unique and special test that has an online circuit, which runs through natural landscapes, runs through the historic center of Madrid and ends in the city center, the Puerta del Sol.
