Eneko Llanos, Andreas Raelert and Iván raña favorites for victory at the Ironman 70.3 in Mallorca

The test is disputed tomorrow with a participation of 3.800 triathletes from 69 countries 

 

 

The fourth edition of the Thomas Cook Ironman 70.3 3.800 athletes will have different nationalities, which is a record of participation.

 

The race, which will have the exit to the 7: 55 will be developed in the north of Mallorca, with a 1,9 km swim in the bay of Alcudia followed by 90 kilometers in bike and ending the race with three laps of running through the town of Alcudia.

 

Public attendance of 2.500 people is expected and 1.500 volunteers will support the athletes during the test.

 

They will be present this year in the Thomas Cook Ironman 70.3 the winner of last year, the Spanish Eneko Llanos; the winner of 2011, the German Andreas Raelert, Ivan Raña, and other well-known athletes like the British Will Clarkethe Belgian Bart Aernouts, the also Germanic Jan Raphael or the Swiss Jan van Berkel.

 

Eneko Llanos, Iván Raña, Francisco Fernandez Cortes, Richard Calle, Carlos Lopez and Alberto Cordinach are the Spanish assets for this triathlon. Rubén Ruzafa will not be able to participate due to an injury.

 

In the female category, the presence of the British Liz Blatchford, third in the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii at 2013, as well as the German Natascha Schmitt, the Belgian Sofie Goos or the Austrian Lisa Hutthaler

 

The Spanish Marta Jiménez will be the only Spanish representative
