Andrea Dreitz wins the Ironman 70.3 Mallorca for the second consecutive year. Iván Raña sixth
Today the fifth edition of the Ironman 70.3 Mallorca has been held in the Mallorcan town of Alcudia where more than 3.500 triathletes have covered the 1,9 km of swimming, the 90 km of cycling and the 21 km of running
The German Andreas Dreitz has managed to revalidate the title achieved last year by reaching the first goal with a time of 3: 56: 48. In second position has arrived the Swedish Patrik Nilsson (03: 59: 12) and in third final position David Mcnamee (03: 59: 43)
The swimming was very disputed, practically leaving together the favorite ones of the test, but already on the bicycle, the strength of the German made him "fly" on the bike completing the bike in a spectacular part of 2: 10: 14
Already on the race on foot, Dreitz knew how to maintain the distance to win for the second consecutive edition the Ironman 70.3 Mallorca
Ivan Raña, who got the second best time on the road on foot, finished in sixth position with a final time of 4: 02: 56
In the female category, Daniela Ryf has been imposed with a final time of 4 hours, 17 minutes and 25 seconds, the second position has been for the German Julia Gajer 9 minutes later and the third to cross the finish line has been Yvone Van Vierken with 4horas and 29 minutes.
