Julen Lopetegui 3rd in the IRONMAN 70.3 Mossel Bay South Africa
Today a new edition of the HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Mossel Bay in South Africa under clear skies and optimal temperatures.
The event brought together some of the best triathletes in the region, where the Spanish Julen Lopetegui has managed to get on the podium with a great third position.
The race was attended by 13 PRO triathletes, with the victory going to Matthew Ralphs and Mariela Sawyer.
In the male category Matthew Ralphs, who arrived first at T2 and was able to maintain his advantage, took the victory with a time of 4:02:20.
Second place went to James McCallum (4:05:03) and third to Julen Lopetegui (4:09:48).
In the women's event, Mariella Sawyer won with a time of 04:53:14, followed by Vicky VAN der Merwe (04:56:22) and Bridget Theunissen (04:59:21) in third place.
