The next Saturday, April 5, California will once again host the most anticipated events of the early season, the HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 Oceanside 2025.

This American classic recently announced its initial roster, highlighting the presence of world champions and legendary sports figures.

Patrick Lange, the big favorite after his victory in Kona

The German Patrick Lange, three-time IRONMAN world champion and recent winner at Kona 2024, will start as the top favorite.

Lange, renowned for his relentless pace in running, will look to confirm his excellent form after his memorable performance in Hawaii.

Norwegian duel in California

Attention will also be on the Norwegians Kristian Blummenfelt y Gustav Iden.

Both athletes, world champions in previous years, arrive eager for revenge after the difficult day they experienced in the last edition of the IRONMAN World Championship.

Blummenfelt, Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo, aims to return to winning ways, while Iden aims to prove she remains a benchmark in the middle distance.

Sanders defends title in Oceanside

For his part, the Canadian Lionel Sanders, known for his tenacity and great ability to overcome, returns to Oceanside to defend the title he won in 2024.

Sanders, a three-time winner of this race, will also have to face the pressure of local figures such as the Americans Rudy von berg y Ben Kanute, who promise to put on a show at home.

The men's lineup is completed with outstanding athletes such as the New Zealander Braden Currie, The Australians cam wurf y Sam Appleton, in addition to the charismatic British triathlete Joe Skipper.

You also have to be aware of runners coming from the short distance circuit, such as Jacob Birtwhistle (Australia) and Casper Stornes (Norway), which will set the pace and uncertainty.

Paula Findlay leads the women's lineup

In the women's category, all eyes will be on the Canadian Paula Findlay, winner in Oceanside in 2021, who will look to start the year with another victory.

Her main rival will be another Canadian, the very fast runner Tamara jewett, winner of the 2023 edition. In addition, the Americans Jackie Hering y Danielle lewis, along with the promising Alice Alberts, will try to bring glory home.

It will also be interesting to follow the evolution of the Dutch Maya Kingma, who will jump from short distances, and the British Steph Clutterbuck, another international level competitor.

With such a roster, IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside promises to be a true sporting spectacle.
