Valencia, the jewel of the Mediterranean, is preparing to welcome athletes from all over the world in the first edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia, scheduled for April 21, 2024.
Registration opens today, October 5, starting at 16:00 p.m.
The first stage will take place in the Marina of Valencia.
Athletes will swim a 1.9km single-lap course in the marina's protected waters.
The water conditions are ideal, with temperatures ranging between 16ºC and 18ºC, which guarantees a comfortable and safe start to the race.
After completing the swimming stage, competitors will get on their bikes to face a challenging 90 km course.
The circuit begins at Marina of Valencia and heads towards the Sierra Calderona, a natural area that offers both flat sections and elevated terrain.
With a cumulative elevation gain of 700 meters, this segment will test each athlete's cycling skills, offering a mix of speed and endurance.
Race on foot
The last stage is a 21.1 km foot race that takes place on a two-lap circuit.
The athletes will start from the iconic City of Arts and Sciences, running along the beautiful path of the Túria River.
This section allows runners to enjoy the energy of the city and its famous points of interest, passing the finish line twice before reaching the long-awaited red carpet.
Registration for the event will open on October 5, 2023 at 4 pm CEST.
World athletes and TriClub members will have priority to register starting September 29, 2023.
