On Sunday, April 21, 2024, Valencia will be the great setting for a new international sporting event with the celebration of an IRONMAN 70.3, ideal for participants to enjoy some of the most attractive features of the Mediterranean city.
The architecture, the sunny climate, the gastronomy and a protected natural environment that leaves no one indifferent, will be the traveling companions of the triathletes who participate in this new test.
With this announcement, Valencia will be much more than the city of running and opens its doors to triathlon with the help of The IRONMAN Group with the new IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia.
A winning alliance, thanks to the city's recognized experience in hosting major sporting events, which will now add an IRONMAN 70.3 event to continue the success story of the capital of Turia.
Registration will be available to the general public starting next Thursday, October 5 at 16 p.m.
A panoramic and emblematic tour
The circuit of the new IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia It guarantees an ideal balance between urban areas and natural landscapes.
This is a route that, without a doubt, will be challenging and attractive in equal measure, and will allow triathletes to discover some of the most emblematic places in Valencia.
In the swimming segment, participants will have the opportunity to swim in the spectacular Valencia Marina and the Mediterranean Sea.
The 1,9 kilometer circuit runs through protected waters of excellent quality, thus guaranteeing calm and invigorating swimming, with a water temperature that ranges between 16ºC and 18ºC.
In addition, this place offers fans and companions fantastic entertainment points, both in the initial part of the circuit and at the start.
The bicycle circuit will be fast and challenging, with a mix of flat sections and terrain with some unevenness.
The triathletes will leave from T1, located in the sheds of the Valencia Marina, towards the Sierra Calderona and back to the City of Arts, where T2 will await them.
This combination of speed-inducing sections and slightly uneven segments adds excitement and variety to the race, testing cycling skills during a single 90 km lap with 700 meters of unevenness, conquering the terrain of Valencia, both outside and inside the city.
The race, with a total distance of 21,1 km (13,1 miles), follows a two-lap route, starting in T2, in the famous City of Arts and Sciences, athletes will run along the beautiful Turia River, famous for its reconvention in a green area of the city, where a large influx of public is expected due to its easy access.

The date of IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella 2024
The next edition of IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella already has a new date and will be the 27 of October of 2024.
A test that will go from being held in the month of May, in the middle of spring, to being held in autumn. A sixth edition of an event that will be held with the same spirit as always and with a spectacular route with the Mediterranean Sea in the background, the beautiful inland towns of the province of Malaga and Puerto Banús in Marbella as the epicenter of this great day of triathlon .
