Spain and Portugal join forces to launch the “IRONMAN Iberian Odyssey” series

The brand HOMBRE DE HIERRO® has presented its new racing series: IRONMAN Iberian Odyssey, a challenge that invites triathletes from all over the world to compete in Spain and Portugal during the year 2025.

This project was born with the spirit of the great navigators, such as Vasco de Gama y Christopher Columbus, who embarked on the adventure motivated by endurance and courage.

A Journey in the Style of Vasco de Gama and Christopher Columbus

The Challenge IRONMAN Iberian Odyssey is inspired by the Age of Maritime Discovery.

Like those historical explorers who conquered seas and continents, triathletes will cross historic cities, beautiful coastal stretches and mythical routes in the Iberian Peninsula.

The idea is to unite the passion for sport with the rich culture that both Spain and Portugal offer.

List of competitions

To complete this challenge, each participant must finish a test Ironman and other Ironman 70.3 in Spain or Portugal within the same year 2025. The competitions for this series are:

  • Sapphire IRONMAN 70.3 Alcudia-Mallorca
  • IRONMAN 70.3 Valencia
  • IRONMAN 70.3 Portugal-Cascais
• IRONMAN Races
  • IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz
  • IRONMAN Calella-Barcelona
  • IRONMAN Portugal-Cascais

Whoever manages to complete both distances in any of these events will earn the title of Iberian explorer.
