IRONMAN adds a new race in the United Kingdom with the Leeds Full
HOMBRE DE HIERRO has announced the addition of a new Full IRONMAN race in Leeds, United Kingdom, which will be held on July 27, 2025.
This news comes after the cancellation of the IRONMAN UK this year, in favor of a race 70.3.
Leeds, located in the north of England, is a vibrant city, known for its luxury shopping, lively nightlife, award-winning theatres and renowned museums. In addition, the city is a major centre for triathlon, hosting the Brownlee Centre, the UK's first triathlon training centre, and the Leeds Triathlon Centre.
The race will begin with a 3,8km swim in Roundhay Park, a place that has already hosted the World Triathlon Championship Series Leeds. Roundhay Park It is located just 5 km from the center of Leeds, making access easy for both participants and spectators.
The 180 km cycling segment will cover the Yorkshire Dales National Park, following the same route used for the Tour de France Grand DepartAthletes will face an ascent of approximately 2.500 meters on this demanding course.
The 42,2km race section will take place around Roundhay Park, offering an ideal environment for triathletes.
This year, all IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events in the UK have sold out, including races in IRONMAN Wales, IRONMAN 70.3 Swansea, IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton y IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth.
General registrations for the IRONMAN Leeds will open on September 26, 2024.
