El IRONMAN Portugal-Cascais returns to the scene this 18th October 2025, consolidating itself as one of the most outstanding events in the calendar European middle and long distance triathlon.

This competition not only challenges triathletes from all over the world, but also attracts thousands of spectators to the charming coastal town of Cascais.

Benefits for participants: Flex90 Early Entry

The program Flex90 Early Entry offers great advantages for those who sign up before January 24, 2025:

  • Free deferral program: Registrants can defer their registration to IRONMAN Portugal-Cascais 2026 at no additional cost. This applies up to 45 days before the race.
  • Transfer without fees: Possibility of transferring registration to another IRONMAN or IRONMAN 70.3 event within the same region and year, subject to availability.
  • Partial refund: If you decide to withdraw, you can get a 50% refund up to 4 months before the event, or 25% between 4 months and 45 days before the race.

A unique tour along the Atlantic coast

The IRONMAN Portugal-Cascais stands out for its impressive course that combines natural beauty and technical challenges:

Swimming

The race begins with 3,8 km on Ribeira Beach, known for its calm waters and spectacular surroundings.

Cycling

A 180km segment runs through the Portuguese Riviera, passing by Guincho Beach and the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Participants will also cycle around the historic Formula 1 Circuit of Estoril.

Race on foot

The 42,2km marathon is divided into three laps from the centre of Cascais to Cabo Raso, with views that motivate you to keep going.

IRONMAN 70.3 Portugal-Cascais: The accessible option

For those looking for a more affordable challenge, IRONMAN 70.3 offers:

  • 1,9 km of swimming
  • 90 km of cycling
  • 21,1 km of foot race

It is an excellent alternative to enjoy the unique atmosphere of Cascais without facing the full distance.
