IRONMAN Vitoria and Mallorca are postponed again

After the IRONMAN organization had postponed both tests a few weeks ago, today it has issued another statement moving the tests to dates.

Now the celebration of IROMMAN Vitoria is on September 12, 2021 and that of 70.3 in Mallorca on October 16, 2021.

These are the releases

IRONMAN Vitoria

New date: 12 September of 2021

IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz 2021 postponed

"As we previously communicated, our team has been working with local authorities to postpone the IRONMAN Vitoria-Gasteiz to September 5, 2021.

After further deliberation, the Álava Provincial Council notified us that the event would have to take place on September 12, 2021.

SWe understand having to move the date of this event, once again, but the Provincial Council of Álava has requested this change due to scheduling conflicts and unavoidable unforeseen events in the region, as well as the impact on hotel capacity.

Our team will continue to work hard to develop and refine operational plans consistent with local community goals and within the guidelines and recommendations established by public health entities in relation to COVID-19.

We thank our athletes for their continued understanding and we look forward to coming back with a great event later this year.  "

IRONMAN 70.3 Mallorca

New date: 16 2021 October.

Sapphire IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca 2021 postponed

“As we previously communicated, our team has been working together with the local authorities to postpone the Zafiro IRONMAN 70.3 Alcúdia-Mallorca to October 10, 2021.

However, after a subsequent discussion with the local authorities and other stakeholders, and with the desire to meet the needs of our athletes and the host territory, the event will take place together with IRONMAN Mallorca on October 16, 2021.

Hosting the two events at the same time reduces the impact of the race on community resources and allows us to deliver the running experience athletes deserve.

Our team will continue to work hard to develop and refine operational plans consistent with local community goals and within the guidelines and recommendations established by public health entities in relation to COVID-19.

We thank our athletes for their continued understanding and we hope to return with a great event later this year.. ”
