Today another test has been disputed on American soil, the IRONMAN 70.3 Florida where several renowned triathletes have participated.
In addition, several Spaniards participated in the test where Ivan Raña headed the representation of our country together with Javier Hidalgo y Daniel Rodriguez.
The test that began at 6:50 a.m. local time, had a medium-distance format with 1.900 meters of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running.
The victory in the men's category has been for Bart Aernauts with a time of 3: 47: 42 followed by Matthew hanson (3: 48: 20) and for Andreas Dreitz (3: 49: 04) occupying the third final position.
Aernauts started 3 minutes behind in the water, reaching T2 with the same difference compared to Dreitz, but finally in a great race on foot they closed the gap to get the final victory.
Bart's times have been:
- Swimming: 29:27
- Cycling: 1:59:47
- Race: 1:13:12
As for the Spanish Ivan Raña (3:57:13) was the best and finished in 8th place. Daniel Rodriguez has been eleventh
In the female category Emma Pallant got the victory with a 4 time: 18: 48 followed by Lesley smith (4: 23: 05) and for Heather Jackson (4: 27: 42) in third position.
