Today we were able to relive moments of the "80 and 90" in the world of triathlon with the dispute of a test that has come to stay in the calendar, the Triathlon Sierra Nevada Capileria, due to its spectacularity and the "look" that has allowed the triathletes to recall the vintange style that will surely make many enjoy in the coming years.

The first edition of Triathlon Sierra Nevada Capileria  I had a unique tour with a distance between an Olympic triathlon and a medium distance, with 1.500m swimming on the beach of Motril (Granada) followed by 58km of cycling with 1.970 meters of positive slope, from the city of Motril to the town of Capileira in the Heart of the Alpujarras to finish with 12 km of running with 400 meters of unevenness.

We asked Ivan what he thought of this first edition of the test and he told us: " Triathlon of those of "essence", really hard, with comfortable and controlled swimming in the port of 1.500m. We added a very hard and spectacular 54km bike going up the Alpujarra of Granada to run 12km along lanes and beautiful Trail mode paths through the natural park.

The Organization fully supported us and everything went well. The originality was the “Vintage” classification, which I hope will have more next year. It's great to have this option and never lose the origins!!"

Juan jose Foulqué Padilla has been the winner of the elite category test completing the 3 test in one time: 37: 04. The second classified has been Juansa Díaz Cuellar (3: 38: 28) followed by Bernardo Rubio (3: 40: 02) occupying the third final position.

In the female category the winner has been Ruth Gómez with a time of 4: 24: 08 followed by María Rojo (4: 29: 37) and of Sonia Ortiz (4: 30: 29) in third final position.
