Jakob Ingebrigtsen European record in 1.500 Indoor

The Norwegian athlete Jakob Ingebrigtsen has beaten the European record of 1.500 meters on an indoor track that was held by the Spanish Andrés Díaz since 1999.

In addition, on the same day, the Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay managed to beat the world record in distance in the female category.

20-year-old Ingebrigtsen once again demonstrated his quality to everyone and achieved victory and the European record by completing the distance in a 3 time: 31.80.

With this time, he has broken the record held by the Spanish Andres Diaz with 3: 33.32 since February 24, 1999.

Just 76 hundredths from the world record

The norwegian has stayed just 76 hundredths away from breaking the world record from the Ethiopian Samuel Tefera who is in 3: 31.04

After the Norwegian, the Polish Marcin Lewandowski (3: 36.83) and the Spanish Mohamed Katir and Ignacio Fontes finished with 3: 36.89.

Gudaf Tsegay women's world record at 1.500

In the women's competition, the Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay has broken Genzebe Dibaba's world record in two seconds (3: 55.17) completing the distance in a time of 3: 53.09
