Jan Frodeno Out of Challenge Roth

The German triathlete has abandoned the race when he was leading the race on foot.

Today in the Challenge Roth we have seen the return to competition of the triple world champion IRONMAN Jan Frodeno, where all eyes were on his performance.

The German did not disappoint when he came out of the water first and arrived alone with Magus Ditlev at T2.

Even in the first kilometers of the run segment Jan left ahead of Magnus, until around kilometer 3 of the race he had to stop and abandon the race.

This is the moment that the cameras have captured.

It is not known for sure what happened, but everything indicates that his Achilles tendon injury has not fully recovered.

The organization has commented the following:

"Jan Frodeno has abandoned the race. Near the Canal Lände, Frodeno looked very pained when he stopped.

It seems that he has major problems with his right Achilles tendon. Before leaving, he high-fived Ditlev. "

There are no previous results.
