Javier Gómez Noya for all at the start of the World Cups in Mooloolaba

The 2013 ITU World Cup season begins this weekend in the city of Mooloolaba.

It is the seventh year that this test opens the ITU season, the exciting and adrenaline-pumping climate of Mooloolaba undoubtedly marks the pace of the remaining nine World Cups.

The favorite of the test is Spanish Javier Gómez Noya that comes from winning in the Alcatraz triathlon, but you will meet the winner of last year, the French Laurent Lifel.

Given that the World Cup general is not the main objective of Javi, he will not make a set-up for this triathlon but will catch him in full phase of maximum load for the first round of the World Series in Auckland on 6 of April: "Since I arrived from San Francisco I have been increasing the quantity and quality of the sessions and little by little I am assimilating the work. Fortunately, the blow against the dog during Alcatraz stopped bothering me after three days and has remained anecdote. Here I enjoy ideal training conditions; both for the environment and for the climate. Seeing so many people training motivates you".

Other favorites for the tests are Richard Varga, Peter Kerr , gold medal in the two Oceania Championships this year,  Ryan Bailie , Stuart Hayes and Simon De Cuyper.

The absence of the Brothers stands out Brownlee to this test.

The men compete on Saturday at the 3: 00pm local time. The women do it on Sunday at the 12: 45pm. You can follow the action live on @Triathlonlive.

In the female race with little participation, they start as favorites Andrea Hewitt , Anne Haug  y Emma Moffatt.
