Javier Gómez Noya seeks his first victory in the Challenge Wanaka

The Galician will face, among others, the North American Jesse Thomas, winner of the ironman Lanzarote in 2016 and Joe Skipper, ITU LD Champion in 2017

Javier Gómez Noya faces his first test of the season in New Zealand, the Challenge Wanaka, where part as a big favorite for the victory where 1.500 trialetas will participate in the test.

Noya, who is training in New Zealand, has already participated in another test but in relays with his partner his partner Anneke Jenkins and Óscar Vicente his physiotherapist, where they got the victory

The test that consists of 1,9 km of swimming in the transparent Lake Wanaka, 90 km of cycling in a circuit with many ups and downs to finish with the 21,1 km of foot race

As far as the professionals in the list of exit besides Javier Gómez Noya are found Jesse Thomas Winner of the Lanzarote 2016 Ironman,  Luke McKenzie, second in kona in 2013, Dougal Allan winner of last year, Dylan McNeice 3 times winner of the test,  Braden Currie which has the record of the test or Joe Skipper , European ITU long distance champion and second in Challenge Roth in 2017

In the women's competition, Laura Siddal it is the favorite maximum although Annabel Luxford  o Amelia Watkinso sI think it will be difficult

The test that is disputed over medium distance will start the 17 of February at the 8: 15 AM (Local time), 20: 15 Spanish time.

After this test, Noya has only confirmed her participation in the Cannes Triathlon at the end of April.
