Javier Gómez Noya will be at the 2024 Santander City Triathlon
Javier Gómez Noya, one of the most successful and admired triathletes worldwide, returns to competition in Spain by participating in the Santander City Triathlon 2024, test that he won last year.
The Santander City Triathlon, which will take place on September 22 and is organized by the CD TRICYCLE TEAM, will be held in two distances: Olympic and middle distance.
This year, the competition will have a different schedule for both events. The middle distance event will start at 08:30, while the Olympic distance event will start at 09:30.
Both competitions are limited to 600 participants in total.
Noya , ambassador of the test, is undoubtedly the big favorite and will arrive at this test just a week before participating in the T100 of Ibiza.
Distances
The Olympic distance event will consist of a 1.500-meter swim, a 40-kilometer cycling circuit and a 10,5-kilometer run.
The middle distance race will consist of 1.900 metres of swimming, 80 kilometres of cycling and 21 kilometres of running.
In addition to the competition itself, the Santander City Triathlon is part of the National Ranking of the Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRI), which adds an additional incentive for participants seeking to score points on the national circuit.
Awards
As for the prize money, significant sums will be distributed among the top ten finishers in both events, in the male and female categories.
In the Olympic distance, the first classified will receive 1.000 euros, while in the middle distance the winner will receive 1.500 euros.

Participants and their companions will be able to enjoy the beauty of Playa del Sardinero, a walk along the historic La Magdalena Peninsula, or explore the old town with its streets full of history and culture.
