At T2, 30 triathletes arrived within 8 seconds, among which were all the favorites, Dougal Allan Jesse Thomas, and Joe Skiper, Luke Bell and Luke McKenzie.

In the race on foot Braden Currie took the lead until Javier Gómez Noya He was cutting distance to surpass him and lead him by a few seconds that he knew how to keep until the end to achieve victory in a time of 3:57:27. The second in goal was Branden Currie (3: 57: 44) followed by Jesse Thomas (3: 59: 33)

As a curiosity comment that Noya has run the 21,4 km of the race travel on foot in 1: 12. The Galician commented on social networks

Spectacular circuit and rivals! Great job of Braden Currie, pressing me the entire half marathon to the finish line. I had to race at 1.12 on the toughest track circuit I've ever competed in, to take the victory. Earth, 21.4kms and almost 300m of positive elevation. And congratulations to Jesse Thomas for his brilliant 3 position. Happy with my performance, better than I expected at this stage of the season. It is always good to start winning!
