After failing to achieve the result he expected in Edmonton, Javier Gómez Noya faces the second of the Canadian World Series dates on Sunday in Montreal.

It is the first time that the Olympic city of 1976 hosts the World Series, but it was already the scene of the World Championship in 1999, when the titles were awarded in a single competition.

Being on the Olympic Distance instead of on the Sprint like the previous one in Edmonton, he is more optimistic: "I hope to find myself well since in Edmonton after I had something of fever until Wednesday. This week so I have not put the body to the limit, but I hope to respond well on Sunday. Even more to be Olympic Distance and with some hard and technical courses, especially running with a steep slope that will break the rhythm".

Swimming is on the San Lorenzo River, two laps (but without leaving the water between them as usual); cycling over 9 laps of 4.5 km with several corner corners and steep slopes; while on foot they are 4 turns of 2.5km, by the same streets for which it has been pedaled.

To score a point in the general standings in which he currently occupies third place after Mario Mola y Fernando Alarza, Gómez Noya needs to finish better than Yokohama's 9th place, his worst result of the season.

Given that for the general, the 5 best results of 8 appointments are taken, plus that of the final appointment that scores mandatory, the score of the Japanese appointment would be subtracted and that of Montreal would be added.
