Javier Gómez Noya will try to revalidate his title in Vigo

During the weekend of September 17 and 18, Vigo will host the XVIII Spanish Triathlon Championship, in which Javier Gómez Noya from Ferrol will try to revalidate his title against the best national triathletes.
Paco Villanueva, president of the Galician Triathlon Federation, accompanied by Abel Caballero, mayor of Vigo, and Manel Fernández, Councilor for Sports, yesterday presented the test that will be held in the area of Samil and will be attended by around 1.100 competitors.
The circuit will vary depending on the category, but in the elite category, the 1.500-meter swimming route will be in the waters of Samil beach, the 40 kilometers in bike on Avenida Europa and the 10-kilometre walk will be held on Avenida de Samil.

Guipuzcoan Ainhoa Murua, already qualified for the London Games, will be the favorite in the women's category, although Marta Jiménez and Ana Burgos may cause problems.
