Javier Gómez Noya will try to revalidate his title in Vigo
During the weekend of September 17 and 18, Vigo will host the XVIII Spanish Triathlon Championship, in which Javier Gómez Noya from Ferrol will try to revalidate his title against the best national triathletes.
Paco Villanueva, president of the Galician Triathlon Federation, accompanied by Abel Caballero, mayor of Vigo, and Manel Fernández, Councilor for Sports, yesterday presented the test that will be held in the area of Samil and will be attended by around 1.100 competitors.

Javier Gómez Noya from Ferrol will attend this event to defend his title despite the fact that this Saturday he will compete in the last round of the World Series in Beijing with the championship at stake. The Santiago native Antón Ruanova will also be in Vigo, who will try to make things difficult for him.
Guipuzcoan Ainhoa Murua, already qualified for the London Games, will be the favorite in the women's category, although Marta Jiménez and Ana Burgos may cause problems.
