Jorgensen new ITU World Champion

Jorgensen was the first woman to win 5 tests in the world series with Alistair Brownlee.

 

 

Yesterday was held in Edmonton the Grand final of the World Series ITU Triathlon where the North American did not disappoint, achieving victory and first place in the world ranking.

 

Gwen Jorgensen I enter first in goal with a final time of 2: 00: 05 followed by Andrea Hewitt (2: 00: 21) and in third position Nicky Samuels (2: 00: 31).

 

In the race Carolina Routier (ESP) led the swimming phase from start to finish, together with Alice Betto (ITA) and Sarah Groff swimming comfortably taking a few meters to enter the T1.

 

Once on the bike a group of 17 was formed with the favorites less Jodie Stimpson  I was left behind in a second group that came to the T2 with 1: 10 disadvantage.

 

In the running race  Hewitt, Samuels y Groff  they quickly took the lead, but Jorgensen, little by little it was giving them hunt until finally thanks to the best partial run on foot (33: 24) got the victory with 16 seconds ahead Andrea Hewitt and 26 of his compatriot Sarah Groff.

 

Thanks to Hewwit's second place, he has achieved the third place in the world ranking where the 1º and second position were already practically decided.

 

 

As for the Spanish representation, Carolina Routier I enter 22ª position, María Ortega  I enter the 47 position and Ainhora Murua He withdrew from the test.
