Judith Corachán "I'm finally going to run Challenge Roth"
Next Sunday, July 3, a new edition of the DATEV Challenge Roth, one of the longest-running and most important long-distance races in the world.
DATEV Challenge Roth, is held in the German town of Roth, a population of just over 25.000 inhabitants that is located 150km north of Munich.
The town of Roth and all the ones through which the test runs are overturned with the event, it is estimated that more than 250.000 people take to the streets to follow the race and encourage triathletes, while being followed by millions of viewers on television.
The main favorite is the German Anne Haug, Ironman world champion in 2019 and who was recently 3rd in the 2020 edition, postponed due to the pandemic and which was held in St George in early May.
Precisely several triathletes who shone in St. George will be other candidates for the podium like the British Laura Siddall (7ª) and Fenella Langridge (8th) or Danish Maja Stage Nielsen (10ª).
Meanwhile Judith Corachan, triathlete of the ANB Bodegas y Viñedos Labastida Triathlon Club team, faces the race without any pressure, with the intention of enjoying and giving the maximum as always.
Judith has had a great spring of competitions where, except for the withdrawal from Challenge Salou due to the cold, in her four competitions she has always finished in "top2": First in Tradein 140.6 and Mediterranean Epic, and second in Half Triathlon Pamplona and Triathlon of Zarautz.
His participation in the Challenge Roth was not in his plans at the start of the season and he shows up at the start wanting to do his best:
"I'm finally going to run Challenge Roth. A test that every triathlete wants to do at some point and in my case, every year it was getting more complicated for me because I had other goals or races.
This year, giving up fighting to be in Hawaii and having met my goals and commitments this season, it was the perfect opportunity.
For me it is a prize. A personal award and a gift that I give myself seeing that the season is going so well, that I feel very well and wanting to continue competing. So looking forward to enjoying this great event from within and why not fight to the fullest and be able to dispute the podium. "
