Kat Matthews in the hospital after a hit-and-run

British star Kat Matthews, runner-up in the IRONMAN world at St George, he is recovering in the hospital after being hit by a car during a training for Kona.

The British is preparing in Texas to IRONMAN World Championship from Hawaii on October 6.

Kat posted a Stories on social media commenting on her accident:

He has minor fractures to his skull, two vertebrae, his sternum and a dozen stitches and is awaiting the results of the latest MRI.

Kat is currently ranked #6 in the PTO world rankings and was a favorite for Kona.
