The Edmonton World Cup will have team triathlon

Next Friday's 6 in July, two days before the Edmonton ITU World Cup, the team triathlon will take place in beautiful Hawrelak Park.

The ITu has added this event with the aim of promoting this format, which will be added to the program of the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2014.

This will be the first time Edmonton hosts this exciting format, which will take place on a course consisting of a 250m swim, a 6,6km bike ride, and a 1.600m run. Teams can be formed with junior and elite athletes who compete in the ITU World Cup.

The National Triathlon Federations have a deadline to confirm their intention to participate on June 1, 2012.
