Triathlete Taylor Knibb selected by the USA to also compete in cycling at the Paris Games

The American triathlete Taylor Knibb has been officially selected by USA Cycling to represent her country in the time trial at the next Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

This 26-year-old girl, originally from Boulder, Colorado, will become one of the few athletes to compete in two different disciplines in the same Olympic Games.

Knibb, who had already secured his place in the individual and mixed triathlon relay competitions, will now have the opportunity to compete for a medal in cycling.

This additional inclusion is due to his victory in the time trial of the 2024 US National Road Cycling Championships, held in Charleston, West Virginia, where he impressed everyone with a time of 41:54 on a 33.7 kilometer course, surpassing to competitors of the stature of Kristen Faulkner y Amber Neben

The competition in Paris

The women's time trial competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games is scheduled for July 27, while the women's individual triathlon event will take place on July 30 and the mixed relay on August 5.

Knibb, who already has Olympic experience after winning a silver medal in the mixed relay in Tokyo 2020, now faces the challenge of competing in three events in a short period of time.
