Lake Las Vegas T100 Triathlon: The world's best triathletes in the penultimate round of the circuit

The female starlist has been published

The countdown has begun for the Lake Las Vegas T100 Triathlon, which will be played next 19 and 20 for October, a test that will bring together the best triathletes in the world.

This event is crucial for the athletes as it is the penultimate competition before the T100 World Championships in Dubai, scheduled for 16 and 17 November.

The women's 100km race will start at 08:15 (local time) on Saturday 19 October.

The circuits

Athletes will begin with a 2km swim in Lake Las Vegas, a two-lap course with stunning views of the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa.

After the transition, they will face a 80 km bike ride over five laps, characterized by an initial climb with a 20% gradient.

The circuit continues through Wetlands Park and Calico Ridge, adding more than 1,400 metres of cumulative elevation gain, making it the most demanding route in the T100 series.

The event closes with an 18km race divided into six laps around the exclusive Reflection Bay Golf Club.

The favorites

Among the notable participants is the current leader of the T100 series, the Australian Ashleigh Gentle, who will have to defend his position against Taylor Knibb or the British Lucy Charles-Barclay, who returns to competition after recovering from an injury in London.

This will be the first head-to-head meeting between the three since the 2022 Dallas race, where Gentle edged out Knibb in the run and Charles-Barclay finished third.

The list of triathletes includes names such as: India Lee (GBR), Imogen Simmonds (SUI), Laura Philipp (GER), Paula Findlay (CAN) and Flora Duffy (BER), all within the current top 9 of the series.
