Diablillos de Rivas and Peñota Dental Alusigma, champions of the National Duathlon Club League in Albacete
This weekend, Albacete became the national duathlon capital with the final days of the 2025 National Duathlon Club League.
The teams Imps from Rivas feminine and Penota Dental Alusigma men were crowned champions of the First Division after exciting and close competitions until the very last moment.
Diablillos dominate the Women's First Division
In the women's category, the duathletes of Imps from Rivas They confirmed their dominance in the season after winning the Spanish Duathlon SuperSprint Relay/Pairs Championship with a time of 1 hour, 6 minutes and 28 seconds.
The athletes responsible for the success were Carla Guisande, Marta Cabello, Paula from the Well, Xisca Tous, Carla Martinez y Lorena MaesoSecond place went to Deporama Triatlón Soriano, while Cidade de Lugo Fluvial took third place on the podium.
Thanks to this victory, the Diablillas added a total of 372 points in the final league classification, leaving the CEA Bétera in second place with 336 points and Soriano Triathlon Deporama in third with 305.
Decisive double for Peñota Dental Alusigma
In the men's First Division, the Penota Dental Alusigma had a spectacular weekend in Albacete.
The Basques secured a double victory by winning the Club Championship on Saturday and reaffirming their superiority on Sunday in the SuperSprint Relay/Pairs event.
The time set by the champion team was 55 minutes and 34 seconds, thanks to the outstanding performances of Ernest Lopez, Sergio Ortiz, Diego Mentrida, Jordi García, Félix Pierre Duchamp y jesus candle.
This result allowed Peñota Dental Alusigma to climb to the top of the League with 338 points, leaving second Soriano Triathlon Deporama (327 points) and third to Cidade de Lugo Fluvial (326 points).
Promotions and demotions, emotions until the last minute
Emotions were also present in the fight to advance and avoid relegation.
In the women's category, Montilla Córdoba Triathlon, Ecosport Alcobendas, Tripuçol, and Tritones de Rioja have moved up to the First Division, while in the men's category, Deportivo Delikia, Tripuçol, Triathlon Ferrol, and Resistentia T3 will be the teams competing in the top category next year.
On the other hand, teams such as Isbilya Sloppy Joe's, Prat Triatló 1994, and Tri Infinity Móstoles were relegated from the First Division to the Second Division, demonstrating the demanding and competitive nature of this league.
Successful participation in the Popular Duathlon
The sporting weekend closed with the Albacete City Popular Duathlon, a very well-received event that saw the female victory of Irene Ruiz and masculine Álvaro López, both from the local team Triatlón Albacete Res.
