National Duathlon Club League 2025: The action arrives in La Nucía

Next weekend, La Nucía “City of Sport” you will receive the National League of Duathlon Clubs 2025.

The Spanish Triathlon Federation (FETRi) has confirmed that, on February 22 and 23, three Spanish championships will be held: the SuperSprint Club DuathlonThat of SuperSprint for Clubs 2×2 and, as a great novelty, the national of Duathlon by Mixed Relay.

This will be the first time that this mixed format will be part of the opening matchday of the League, adding a different touch to the weekend.

An ideal setting for the public

The races will take place on the indoor circuits of La Nucía, with the Estadi Olimpic Camilo Cano as the key point for starts, transitions and finishes.

Thanks to this route, fans will be able to follow the laps on foot and by bike from the stands, without missing a single detail of the spectacle.

Saturday 22nd: First stages of the League

  • SuperSprint Club Duathlon:
    The men's qualifying heats will begin early in the morning (9 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.), with finals scheduled at 11:30 a.m. Later, it will be the turn of the women's qualifiers (12:30 p.m., 13 p.m. and 13:30 p.m.), with finals at 14:30 p.m.
    This format involves very fast individual tests in which each club adds points according to the positions of its duathletes until the Grand Final.
  • Mixed Relay Duathlon:
    Starting at 17 p.m., four duathletes (two men and two women per club) will take turns in a SuperSprint that, with each stint, will alter the pace of the competition. The Open race will start just two minutes after the Elite race, so there will be excitement for all levels.

Sunday 23rd: The 2×2 show

  • 2×2 Club SuperSprint Duathlon:
    Sunday marks the third day of the League, which features a very strategic format: the competition is in pairs, and each team must organise the transitions to add duathletes to the race, with the aim of having two athletes per club finish.

The clubs that will fight for glory

In the Men's First Division, teams such as Penota Dental Alusigma, Albacete Res Triathlon, Cidade de Lugo Fluvial o CEA Bétera, among others.

On the female side, the names of Náutico de Narón, Imps from Rivas y Stadium Casablanca Mapei, accompanied by teams that are rising strongly for this season.

For its part, the Second Division will also have a very competitive grid, with clubs such as Santander Triathlon, Náutico de Narón y The 208 Triathlon Club seeking the longed-for promotion, while several recently relegated teams will try to regain their place in the elite.
