Lisbon puts in play 3 places for the mixed relays of Tokyo 2020

The test will be held on a supersprint distance circuit

The first race of mixed relay classification in will decide three more teams at the starting line of Tokyo 2020 on a super speed circuit.

This Friday the first mixed relay Olympic qualifying event will be held in Lisbon where three more teams will get a place to be on the starting line of Tokyo 2020

The test will be held on a supersprint distance circuit of 300 m swimming, 7,2 km cycling and 1,8 km. km of race.

15 teams will fight to qualify

The top 3 will automatically qualify for Tokyo, but note that world champions France, Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand, Germany, Holland, USA and host Japan are already qualified.

Even if a team finishes in the top three in Lisbon, it must have two men and two women in the top 140 of the Olympic Ranking to get the spot.
