The 12 best moments of the ITU Triathlon season

The International Triathlon Federation (ITU) has published the 12 best moments of the 2018 season.

From February to December, the world of Triathlon competes endlessly, with races such as World Cups, Triathlon World Series, Mixed Relay, Paratriathlon y Multisport Festivals among others.

This 2018 was full of very exciting endings, of those that are to bite the nails. Although it is difficult to reduce all the emotion to only ten moments, from the ITU they have selected the best Moments that stood out in their opinion and made 2018 one of the best seasons of its history.

Who does not love a sprint end to bite their nails? At the WTS in Bermuda, the women's race had the most exciting end of race of the season, when Katie Zaferes from the USA. Norwegian triplet in WTS Bermuda

The inaugural race of the Bermuda WTS was historic for many reasons. However, one of the best moments came when Norway became the first country to occupy the top three places in a male WTS. Casper Stornes took the victory, followed by his compatriots Krisitan Blummenfelt and Gustav Iden

Mixed Relay

The excitement is only building as this form of triathlon prepares to debut at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Asian Games Palembang 2018

The victory of Flora Duffy in WTS Bermuda

Flora Duffy ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED the women's race and basically made a solo career. We can still hear the crowds chasing her and she came in to grab the goal tape.

13 wins new World Cups

The ITU World Cup circuit is always an opportunity to see many outstanding athletes shine. In 2018, there were 13 of those athletes and 13 different triathletes from around the world who won their first race in a World Cup.

The paratriathlon

The inspiration of Paratriathlete Lauren Parker (AUS), who in a bicycle accident was paralyzed from the waist down. In less than a year, he started competing in Paratriathlon and has won the bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games and the Gold Coast World Championships
