The Spanish with options in the Mooloolaba World Cup

The Triathlon World Cup circuit travels to Australia

This coming Saturday, March 16, a new Triathlon World Cup will be held in Australia, this time in the town of Mooloolaba over sprint distance.

In this test the Spaniards have achieved very good results, with victory of Javier Gómez Noya (2013), Mario Mola (2014 and 2016), who also managed to get below 14 minutes in the 5 kilometers of the foot race in 2014 with 13:55

The Spaniards who will be in the test are Antonio Serrat, Vicente Hernández, Miriam Casillas, Marta Sanchez y Carolina Routier.

In the male category the Spanish Vicente Hernández  (sixth last year, second in 2016 and third in 2015) and Antonio Serrat, they have options to be fighting for the medals where we find triathletes like Sam Ward, fourth last year, Tyler Mislawchuk: Rotislav Petrov among others.

Male start list

In the women's test the favorite is the Australian Asheigh Glente, although there will be triathletes of the stature of Barbará Riveros , Emma Jeffcoat, Natalie Van Coevorden o Anna Maria Mazzeti among others.

The Spanish women in the test are Miriam Casillas, which seeks to continue adding points for the Olympic Ranking,  Marta SanchezCarolina Routier that returns to the competition after the good feelings of Abu Dhabi where she was one of the first to get out of the water.

The women's event will begin at 13:00 p.m. while the men's event will begin at 17:00 p.m. local time 04:00 and 06:00 AM Spanish time

The next stop of the World Cup circuit will be in Madrid, on May 4 and 5 with the dispute of the elite test and that of age groups, where this year the test will end at the Royal Palace.
