Madrid will not host a Triathlon World Cup at the moment in 2021

The situation in our country at the moment does not allow it

The World Triathlon, former ITU has published new 9 world cups to the 2021 calendar of competitions.

In a year marked by Covid-19 pandemic, events are being selected little by little and for now, according to the World Triathlon itself, the city of Madrid will not host a test as usual in recent years.

Madrid is joined by more tests that are not usually missing from the calendar as they are Mooloolaba (Australia) or New Plymouth (New Zealand) will not host any evidence either,

"Some events that have been part of the World Cup calendar for many years, like Mooloolaba (Australia), New Plymouth (New Zealand) or Madrid (Spain), won't be able to take place in 2021, with the pandemic effect still making an impact in some organizers.” Comments the World Triathlon.

We will have to wait for the new venues to be known.
