The commitment of the Spanish Federation with our sport and with taking the organization of top-level triathlon events to the highest level is simply remarkable, and there are no words to express how grateful we are all for their commitment.

The location is just perfect, with warm temperatures, an incredible place and a field in the very heart of the city, one of the best tourist destinations in Europe.

I am truly convinced that the experience for the athletes, volunteers and fans from all over the world will be unforgettable,” she said. Marisol Married, President of the World Triathlon and member of the IOC.

"The Malaga concession of the Grand Final will be a great surprise for many, but we could not miss the opportunity, neither FETRI nor World Triathlon to associate ourselves with a city like this and a project with the Andalusian Government to develop large competitions in the this Community.

We had already been working prudently for several months so that the project could go ahead. And we are tremendously happy to be associated with the Junta de Andalucía and a city like Málaga to associate it with the image of our sport.

If this year was the year the commitment of Spain with the Triathlon was brutal, with Ibiza, Madrid and Pontevedra, announcing that next year we have the Grand Final in Malaga and in Pontevedra the 2025 Multisport confirms our weight on the international scene.” said J.osé Hidalgo, President of the Spanish Federation.

The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, Arturo Bernal, has congratulated itself on this designation, “qwhich will put Andalusia, Malaga on this occasion, in the spotlight of international triathlon, with the celebration of the most important sporting event in this discipline, and which demonstrates, once again, the commitment to holding large sporting events in our land that generate wealth and become a pole of tourist attraction".

Francisco de la Torre, mayor of Malaga: “It is great news that Malaga hosts, in 2024, the headquarters of the Triathlon World Cups. The event consolidates us as a sports destination and will demonstrate, once again, the city's attractiveness.

The announcement of the Spanish Triathlon Federation puts us back on the map of international sports competitions, which is due to the joint work of the Administrations that we are always attentive and willing to add so that this type of event is held here".

For his part, the president of the Provincial Council, Francis Salad, has stated that “The celebration of the final of the Triathlon World Championship is magnificent news and shows that Malaga has established itself as an international benchmark in the celebration of major sporting and cultural events".

In this sense, Salado has stressed the importance of associating the Malaga and Costa del Sol brands with the values transmitted by sport, associated with competitiveness, fair play, camaraderie, effort and the desire to excel.
