Mallorca 140.6 Triathlon limits its participation to 600 athletes

El Mallorca 140.6 Triathlon, international long and medium distance triathlon to be held on September 25 in Playa de Muro (Mallorca), has decided limit your maximum participation.

The organization has done it to adapt to health and safety measures at sporting events published by the Government of the Balearic Islands based on the situation in each phase of the crisis caused by the Coronavirus.

Mallorca 140.6 Triathlon takes this measure responsibly and with the aim of offering the maximum guarantees within its reach to ensure the celebration of the event.

To do this, it will follow all the guidelines set by the competent institutions.

The purpose is to anticipate the foreseeable situation in the coming months by limiting participation to a total of 600 triathletes in total.

"We are living in difficult and uncertain times in which it is difficult to control situations beyond our control as an organization, but it is our duty to make decisions to give the best possible guarantees to the triathletes who have chosen the Mallorca 140.6 Triathlon.

The new LD on the island of Mallorca

Mallorca 140.6 Triathlon takes its name from the total sum of its route in miles, 140.6, which is equivalent to 226 kilometers.

 In total, athletes will have to complete 3.800 meters of swimming, 180 kilometers of cycling segment, and 42.195 meters of running to the finish line in Playa de Muro.

Parallel to this long distance, it will be possible to participate in the 'Mallorca 140.6 Half Triathlon', just half the distance of 1.900 meters of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running on foot.
