Marcel Zamora "The flat circuit and closed to traffic makes ISOSTAR EXTREME MAN Salou a good place to debut in the middle distance"

The long distance triathlete Marcel Zamora, five consecutive times champion of the Nice Ironman and four-time EmbrunMan champion, bet another year for the middle distance circuit ISOSTAR EXTREME MAN.

After winning 2013 in Getxo, this year will be on the starting line of ISOSTAR EXTREME MAN Salou the next 11 of May. It will not miss the premiere of a bicycle path, designed to fly, which is presented in a single turn, on level ground and completely closed to traffic.

Salou opens the EXTREME MAN campaign, which this year will be in 3 countries, what's so special about this circuit?

I think that the fact of following a very professional and meticulous line in the assembly of the competitions makes the triathlete feel good, who is always wrapped up and for whom everything is easy.

Why have you chosen Salou as one of the challenges of your season?

In my case it is a test that fits me perfectly in the calendar in preparation for a great goal. In addition, I have chosen it because of running at home and because I know it will be very well organized.

Recently, the new circuit of this test has been presented, totally flat and closed to traffic, what value does this new layout bring to the triathlete?

A tour of these characteristics brings tranquility once it is rolling at great speeds. It is much easier when competing and allows not having to be aware of external things.

What are your goals / expectations in Extreme Man Salou?

He will take me with my preparation for the Ironman Brazil Florianópolis and, if everything goes well, I hope to be strong to get a good result and great sensations.

"Designed to fly", do you think it's a good circuit for the one who is thinking of debuting in the middle distance?

Actually the fact of being a flat circuit and closed to traffic makes ISOSTAR EXTREME MAN a good place to debut in the middle distance and get this difficult objective more comfortably.

In this sense, what factors should a triathlete look for when choosing his medium distance challenges?

It depends on the years of experience, choosing a more demanding or more comfortable circuit so as not to suffer so much and, in this way, to gain confidence for bigger challenges or to repeat in the distance, but in tests with more hardness. Then I think it is important to choose a good date that allows us to prepare the test with guarantees and the fact of making it close so that our support is easier.
