Mario Mola in search of a new victory in the Edmonton World Series

The Mallorcan will continue as leader whatever the result of the test.

This coming Friday will be held the seventh meeting of the Triathlon World Series , this time in Edmonton (Canada). 

Edmonton will once again host a World Triathlon Series and also in 2019 ahead of the 2020 Grand Final. The event takes place in the heart of Edmonton's stunning William Hawrelak Park, on the edge of the famous River Valley, over sprint distance

Mario Mola leader, no matter what happens

The big favorite is Mario Mola, winner of the WTS in Hamburg two weeks ago, with a spectacular comeback in the last part of the race.  Fernando Alarza, recovered from his injury will try to fight again for the podium, Vicente Hernández y Cesc Godoy will complete the Spanish participation.

The names to keep in mind for the race are Vincent Luis y Richard Murray , podium in Hamburg. Murray already knows what it is to win in the test (2015) and a third place in 2016. It will also be necessary to take into account Kristian Blummenfelt y Jonathan Brownlee , who will surely make theirs in the cycling sector. In addition to Casper Stornes (winner of the Bermuda WTS) or Jake Birtwhistle (second in Edmonton last year) among others.

The absence of Flora Duffy will mark the World Series from now on

After Bermudena Flora Duffy announced that due to injury would participate in the last 2 WTS, leaving all their options to revalidate the title, the fight for the World Cup is very open.

Katie Zaferes, world leader and winner last year in Edmonton, leaves as one of the favorites. It comes from getting a third place in Hamburg. It will also be necessary to take into account Rachel Klamer , Vicky Holland (winner at 2015 in Edmonton), Andrea Hewitt  Kirsten KasperTaylor Spivey , Jessica Learmonth , Jodie Stimpson o Non Standforf among other. In the test there is no Spanish presence.

The winner in Hamburg, the young Cassandre Beaugrand,  it will not be on the starting line.
