The triple world champion of triathlon Mario Mola has confirmed in an interview in Runner's World that lThe 2021 World Series will put them in the background y will focus on the olympic games

"I'll almost certainly try to compete less and save the bullets for Tokyo.

I have been competing in the World Series for a long time and it is a high level of demand in terms of travel and absolute dedication“, he explains in the interview.

Mario, who told us that he has the intention of keep competing in athletics this year, as in 10K tests or in cross, he got a creditable ninth in the 5.000 meter Spanish Championship last Sunday in the state of Vallehermoso.

Waiting for the return to "normal" in 2021

In 2021, a year where the Olympic Games will be held and it is expected to return to "normal" in terms of high-level international competitions, we will see many triathletes focusing on the games leaving the WTS in the background, giving an opportunity many other athletes to score and be at the top of the ranking.
