Mario Mola and Uxío Abuín nominated for the best European Triathlete 2017

For the third year in a row, the European Triathlon Federation will hand out the prizes to the best athletes, organizers, federations, officials and executives of the 2017 season 

The European Triathlon Federation (ETU) has nominated the Spanish Mario MolaUxío Abuín as the best European triathletes of the 2017 season. Next to them is the Portuguese Joao Pereira.

  • 7º Post 2017 ITU World Triathlon Stockholm;
  • 14º Post 2017 ITU World Triathlon Montréal;
  • Winner 2017 ITU World Triathlon Edmonton;
  • Winner 2017 ITU World Triathlon Hamburg;
  • Winner 2017 ITU World Triathlon Yokohama;
  • Winner 2017 ITU World Triathlon Gold Coast;
  • 8th place 2017 ITU World Triathlon Abu Dhabi

While Uxio Abuin got 4 podiums in the European Cups that served to get back the Ranking of the European Series

  • Winner 2017 Altafulla ETU Triathlon European Cup and Mediterranean Championships
  • 17º Post 2017 Düsseldorf ETU Sprint Triathlon European Championships
  • 5º Position 2017 Kitzbühel ETU Triathlon European Championships
  • 2º Post 2017 Quarteira ETU Triathlon European Cup
  • 3º Post 2017 Gran Canaria ETU Triathlon European Cup

In the female category the nominees have been the Dutch Rachel Klamer, The Russian Anastasia Abrasomova and the British  Jessica Learmonth

In addition, the Spanish Triathlon Federation has also been nominated for the award for the best federation of the year, along with Hungary, Denmark and Norway
