Marta Galimany breaks the Spanish record in the Valencia Marathon

The Spanish athlete Marta Galimany has managed to break the Spanish marathon record with a mark of 2:26:14 in the 42nd edition of the Trinidad Alfonso Valencia Marathon that took place today in the city of running.

Galimany has achieved in his third attempt lower the historic female record of Spain owned by Ana Isabel Alonso (2:26:51) since 1995.

The second woman to cross the finish line was Carolina Pascual with a time of 2:36:42 and the third Cristina Giurkanu with 2:37:44.

In the male category, the winner has been Tariku novales with a great time of 2:07:18 that becomes the fourth best time in the history of Spain.

The second classified has been Ayad Lamdassem with 2:07:37 and the third Abdelaziz Merzougui with a mark of 2:08:00.
