Spanish Marta Sánchez and Sara Pérez ready for Taupo
This weekend, taupo, the New Zealand city known for its stunning landscapes, will host the VinFast World Championship HOMBRE DE HIERRO 70.3 2024.

A brilliant year for Marta Sánchez
The Catalan Marta Sanchez arrives in Taupo with the ambition of fight for the podium after completing an exceptional season. Among his achievements are:
- Victory at the IRONMAN 70.3 in Pucón (Chile) in January
- Victory at the IRONMAN African Champs (South Africa) in April, securing her place for the IRONMAN World Championship in Nice, where she obtained a meritorious sixth position.

Sánchez appears excited and prepared: “I hope I can keep up the good work. It has been an incredible year and I want to end the season enjoying this great event.”, he said before traveling to New Zealand.

Marbella 2025: the next World Cup stop
After the success in Lahti (2023) and Taupo this year, the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship will move to Marbella in 2025, becoming the first spanish city in hosting this event.
The meeting will take place on the days 8 and 9 November, consolidating Spain as a key destination in the calendar world triathlon championship.
