Marten Van Riel favourite to win T100 Triathlon World Tour in Dubai

The Belgian Marten Van Riel, is in the best position to take victory in the first edition of the Dubai T100 Triathlon World Championship Final, which will take place on November 16 and 17 in the city of Dubai.
Van Riel, who has already claimed two T100 series wins in San Francisco and Ibiza, leads the series standings and will need just one podium place to become the first T100 Triathlon World Champion next Sunday 17 November.
With 55 points at stake in the final —Compared to the usual 35, the race is more open than ever.
Black 55 points separate the 14 best triathletes of the standings, which promises a close fight for the title.
Among Van Riel's closest rivals are the Dane Magnus ditlev, currently in second position, followed by the French Sam Laidlow in fourth place, and the American Sam long, which occupies fifth place.

Dubai T100 Triathlon World Championship route
The challenge will take place on a 100 km distance, divided into 2 km of swimming, 80 km of cycling and 18 km of running.
The race will start at Sunrise Beach in Jumeirah, where triathletes will swim against the stunning backdrop of the Dubai skyline.
The cycling segment will then move to the Meydan area, including the Royal Bridge and its surroundings. The running race will take place at the Meydan Racecourse, internationally known for hosting the famous Dubai World Cup.
Amateur Participation and the 30×30 Dubai Fitness Challenge
Up to 10.000 amateur participants will also have the chance to be part of the spectacle in different distances, including the Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 20km bike ride and 5km run).
Also taking place for the first time in Dubai is “The Music Run,” a fun, untimed race that promises to be an energetic party for people of all ages and levels.
The Dubai T100 Final is also part of the initiative 30×30 Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with the aim of integrating physical activity into the daily lives of the population and making Dubai one of the most active cities in the world.

The test can be seen live on Sunday November 17 from 13:15 local time, with the start of the competition scheduled for 13:30. (10:30 in Spain)
In Europe it will be broadcast exclusively on Eurosport.
Awards
As for the prizes, the winner of the series will receive an attractive bonus of $210,000, while second and third place will receive $140,000 y $90,000respectively.
