More than 2.500 triathletes participated in the Valencia Triathlon

More than 2.500 participants have disputed the Olympic distances and Supersprint Sunday morning, afternoon distance Sprint has been responsible for closing the Valencia 2019 Triathlon.

 This weekend the capital of Turia has been the protagonist of the popular triathlon, second headquarters of the Mediterranean Triathlon circuit. Circuit where we find different distances, Olympic Sprint and Supersprint also, with the possibility of participating in both mixed and same-sex couples in the distances of Sprint and Supersprint, as a novelty this year.

 On the morning of Sunday 15 of September, the distances of Supersprint and Olympic were celebrated, respectively, in a day where the inclement weather has allowed to celebrate the different distances without setbacks. On the afternoon of Sunday the Sprint distance has been disputed to conclude this intense triathlon day.

 The 8 in the morning has been kicked off more than 350 triathletes from the Supersprint, which had to complete 350m swimming, 10km cycling and finish with 2,5km running. Where we have been able to enjoy the modality in pairs, with more than 76 couples with all its variants, many of these have chosen this modality to debut in the world of triathlon.

 After an intense race he has finished in first position Alejandra Seguí Soria from the CEA Bétera club. The second position has earned it Arantxa Esteban Navarro and finally in third position Andrea Palacios del Val from the Tragaleguas.org club.

In the men's general classification he finished in first position Borja Gamón Cánovas of the Castellón Triathlon. In second position, Pedro de la Torre Llobregat and in third position David Ferrer Folgado.

 At 9h in the morning, the Olympic distance continued where more than 500 triathletes had to complete a total of 1500m of swimming, continue with 40km of cycling to finish with 10km of running race.

 Later and after an arduous and intense competition has reached the finish line in first position Alberto Rodriguez Valencia of the AD Triathlon Escosport Alcobendas. The second position has been for Mateo Bustos Pecaut and the third position of the podium for Ismael Madrid Steers of the ATL.

In the women's podium the first to reach the finish line has been Maria Rubio Gil of Tripuçol, in second place the triatletto Selene Cuenca Peris of the CEC Antella - Frutas Tono and in third position of the podium Roser Vidal Baello dthe Biking Turia Sports Club.

 Already in the afternoon, the 17: 15 was the first outing to the Sprint distance triathletes who had to complete a total of 750m swimming continue with 20km of cycling and end with 5km of race. Up to 600 people have chosen this distance to participate in Valencia Triathlon 2019

Finally the first to enter the finish line was Amanda Agustsdottir. The second on the podium was Belén Baidez Cuenca from the Almansa Triathlon Club and Carla Domenech Hernani as third on the podium. In the men's classification, triathlete Dejan Popovic finished in first position. Following this, Joan Colino Calomarde from CDM-ECL Avant Moncada entered the finish line and Julio Sánchez López from CT Murcia Unidata came in third place.

 In the App of the event you can see all the results according to categories and distances. Also this year we have been able to enjoy the competition via streaming through the pages of Youtube y Facebook Mediterranean Triathlon so that everyone could enjoy this exciting competition.

 This has been the second headquarters of Mediterranean Triathlon but it doesn't end here. The next 28 and 29 in September the city Alicante will be the next to become the protagonist of the triathlon. Alicante Triathlon 2019 will be in charge of delivering the special prizes for the participants of the 3x3x3 challenge, participants who have competed in the entire Mediterranean Triathlon 2019 circuit.
