More Spanish talents in the Alpe d'Huez Triathlon
Three new Spanish professionals have confirmed their participation in the Alpe d'Huez Triathlon, which will take place from July 22 to 26. Pakillo Fernández, Ricardo Hernández and Tamara Gómez share the same illusion for the 21 mythical curves, although with different objectives.
In this seventh edition of the Alpe d'Huez Triathlon, Víctor del Corral, Marcel Zamora and Cesc Godoy will be well accompanied. The first to confirm his participation was Pakillo Fernández, for whom the gala event will be one of his highest goals of the year. Although 2012 marks his debut in the long distance, his skills as a swimmer and as a cyclist could come as a surprise. To do this, it will have the advice of Víctor del Corral, the heroic winner of the last edition. “When Víctor told me about his experience at the Alpe d'Huez, I thought that this year I had to do it. I also think it is a great opportunity to be able to climb the pass in the race”, Explains the Extremaduran.
Ricardo Hernández and Tamara Gómez will also take part in this adventure, but in the Short Distance test, together with Marcel Zamora and Cesc Godoy. The two students from the Madrid High Performance Center will go to discover the ascent with the aim of being competitive. "The participants say that it is a test that has to be run once in a lifetime! I hope to be in good shape after several important appointments in the weeks before the event ”, Ricardo confides. Tamara shares this motivation, adding: “It is a mythical and hard route, I am excited to try myself and compete at this level. I'm sure it will be a great experience. "
The seventh edition of the l'Alpe d'Huez triathlon will take place from July 22 to 26, 2012.
