Melina Alonso opens the season in Italy

The ferrolana competes this Sunday in the Mediterranean Triathlon.

Ferrol, November 29 of 2011.- The triathlete Melina Alonso will run her first test this Sunday after starting the preseason in the Mediterranean Triathlon, which will host the Italian city of Palermo.

The member of the Ferrol Triathlon Club has been invited by the organization to participate in the last European event in 2011, in full workload for her. In this way, it recognizes that "I know I'm not going to be in full shape but we're already training so I'm not going to be down either."

The title at stake will be decided under an exciting format of two heats prior to a final in which only 10 triathletes will participate. In the first confrontation, Melina Alonso will have to finish among the best five on a circuit of 500 meters of swimming, 13,2
