The MiniDesafío Doñana opens its registration period

The triathlon training and technical sessions that will be held next June 13 have already closed their programming

 

 

El Doñana Challenge will have another year with a sport activity parallel to the absolute test and that will promote a sport such as triathlon, el MiniChallenge, which will be developed on the promenade and Bajo Guía beach in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

The little ones between 7 and 17 years can also live their own MiniDesafío Doñana. On the same day of the event a parallel promotion competition will be held so that all the boys and girls can start in the world of triathlon. The modality to be disputed will be an attractive aquatlon for minors, organized by the Andalusian Triathlon Federation, with categories of age groups and very affordable and ideal distances to promote this sport.

The race on foot (first and third segment) will be held in Bajo Guía, and swimming in the waters of the beach itself. The distances to be covered will vary according to the age of the participants: there will be several departures per category, which will vary from the 125 m. of running, 50 m. of swimming and 125 m. of the Pre-Benjamins race (7 to 8 years), up to the 1.000 m.-400 m.-1.000 m. of the Cadets (15-17 years). The first test will start at 10.00 hours.

The registration deadline for the Doñana MiniDesafío will end next September 17 or when the 450 participants will be reached. The inscriptions are made only online on the page of the Andalusian Triathlon Federation and will be free. Trophy will be awarded to the first three male and female classified of each category; to the best male and female local by category; to the club or college with the most local participation; and the club with the greatest participation.

In addition, there will be promotion of the MiniDesafío in the Triathlon of Minors of Seville, which is held on Saturday and in the Acuatlón de Menores also in Seville, which will be played on Saturday 30 in May. On the other hand, the Andalusian Triathlon Federation will promote the MiniDesafio, starting next week, in schools of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, through a program to promote triathlon in public schools in Andalusia.

Technification Days in Sanlúcar

The next 13 in June will be held in Sanlúcar de Barrameda a triathlon technification day on the occasion of Doñana Challenge 2015, in which, with the presence of several professional triathletes, a series of theoretical and practical activities will be carried out, with the aim of to guide participants on issues such as nutrition, adequate physical preparation and different specific notions about the modality.

About Training systems in long distance tests Luis Carrasco will speak to us, professor of the Faculty of Sciences of the Physical Education and the Sport, of the University of Seville. Another talk will be given by Eusebio Gutiérrez, commercial director of Infisport, official supplier of the Doñana Challenge, which will speak on Energy supplementation in ultra-background tests.

Psychology and sports performance, will be the topic to be addressed by José Carlos Jaenes, responsible for the Sports Psychology Unit of the Andalusian Center for Sports Medicine. On Prevention of injuries in combined ultra-deep tests Antonio García Laseca will talk to us, a specialist in physical education and sports. Álvaro del Castillo, director of judges of the Andalusian Triathlon Federation will give a talk on Competition regulation.

The afternoon session will include a talk on Environmental sustainability, which will be run by volunteers from the Doñana National Park. The latest papers will be a block of Experiences of the professional triathletes Sergio Cruz and Elena Aguilar, winners of the last edition of the competition, along with Salvador Díaz, second classified in 2014. They will be joined by José María Merchán, president of the Andalusian Triathlon Federation, to moderate a round table. The day will end with the explanation of the news of the 2015 edition and the subsequent closure.

These days of technification will be free and are aimed at the first hundred athletes who sign up for the Doñana Challenge 2015. The sixth edition of Desafío Doñana will be held next 19 in September, and is organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía. It is one of the toughest endurance sports events held in Andalusia, and one of its singularities is to cross the Doñana National Park, one of the most important ecological reserves in Europe.
