Challenge Arrive in Madrid!

A spectacular event that promises to give a lot to talk about

This next 24 of September will be held the first edition of Challenge Madrid where several internationally renowned athletes will fight to take the first title of the event.

Since the Challenge franchise will announce that I would organize a test in Madrid last December, the expectation has been growing throughout these months to finally reach the week where this first edition will finally be held.

The test that will begin on Sunday at 7: 50 in the morning in the Madrid town of Biutrago de Lozoya, located at 75 km from the capital where the triathletes will face the 3.800 meters of swimming.

Later once on the bike, 180 km circuit will be completed passing through some of the most emblematic mountain passes of the Community of Madrid such as Puerto de Canencia, Morcuera to return to Cotos and down through the port of Navacerrada to get to the Explanada del Rey in Madrid Río where T2 will be.

To finish the race, 42 km of running on a fast circuit to 4 laps that runs almost entirely through Madrid Rio for the last lap go to the Puerta del Sol where the goal will be located.

As for the professionals who will participate in the test we find the Spanish Gustavo Rodriguez, which comes from competing in two LD in a month, being sixth in the past European LD Championship in the Challenge Almere,  Iván Alvarez winner of Triathlon Vitoria , Diego Paredes second in Pamplona this year and the people of Madrid Alejandro Santamaría , jose Almagro and Ramón Ejeda which has as its main objective this test or Jan Raphael tenth in Challenge Salou this year and recent winner of the Challenge Regensburg who starts as one of the favorites for victory with Dylan McNeice o Tim Van Houtem .

While in the female category, with the absence of one of the favorites, María Pujol, due to an injury that has asked him to train this distance, we will also be able to count on a large poster among which will be the Spanish Dolca Ollé Champion of Spain LD in 2016 and Monica Falgueras  winner in the Ecotrimad 2017 , highlighting the presence in addition to foreign Sophie Goos, winner of Challenge Venice, Vanessa Pereira, Lisa Roberts o Erika Csomor among others, that will make the event spectacular
