Castellón celebrates its triathlon reference test with nearly 1.000 registered

MTRI Castellón is the 2nd venue of the Mediterranean Triathlon Circuit

MTRI Castellón has been presented today at the Estepark Shopping Center, in the presence of Tania Baños, Deputy for Sports of Castellón and, the Councilor for Sports, Omar Braina, as well as the President of the Triathlon Federation of the Valencian Community, Vanessa Huesa; and the local organizer, the EVASION RUNNING team, made up of Toni García, Jordi Ballester and Roberto Marqués.

MTRI Castellon It will start next Friday, July 1 at 18:XNUMX p.m. from the Javier Marquina Football Field in Castellón, which has become the nerve center of the triathlon throughout the weekend.

The same Friday will begin the delivery of numbers of the competitions that will be held on Saturday and Sunday morning.

El Saturday 2 of July will take place sprint and supersprint distances, in the individual and couples modality, with 555 registered. The venue will remain open in the afternoon to deliver the numbers on Sunday, and so that the participants and their families can enjoy the expo area.

El 3 July The queen event of the triathlon will close the weekend, the Olympic distance with 410 registered.

About 1.00 registered

Nearly 1.000 registered have joined an edition that presents novelties such as the double day, allowing the triathlon party to be extended to the entire weekend in Castellón, with triathletes arriving from all the cities of Spain.

The mark shows renewed image with a powerful goal to await the arrival of all participants.

Each of the days will close with the corresponding delivery of trophies to the absolute winners, by clubs and by categories, in addition to a paella tasting for all the triathletes as a reward for the effort in post-meta.

In addition, the MTRI circuit rewards the participation of clubs with cash prizes. Up to €1.000 for the club with the highest participation, after the celebration of the last competition that will take place in Valencia in September.

The club ranking is currently held by the TriAspe Sports Club, followed by CEA Bétera and the Albacete IngeTeam Triathlon Club in 3rd position. See classification.

MTRI Castellón has the institutional support of the Castelló City Council, the Castelló Provincial Council, the Triathlon Federation of the Valencian Community, the technical brands Compex, Nutrisport and 42K Running and the local partners Cementos Élite and Citroën.
