Die an athlete when participating in a triathlon in Berga
Un sportsman that participated in the Sailfish Half Triathlon de Berga (Barcelona) died yesterday after feeling unwell while a test of swimming in the Baells reservoir, a spokesman for the City Council of this town has confirmed to Efe.
The deceased is Daniel Araguz Arroyo, of 34 years and a native of Barcelona, who felt bad about the 10: 30 in the morning, when he was swimming in the swamp, as one member of the organization explained. He also pointed out that the athlete was rescued from the water and transferred to the Sant Bernabé de Berga hospital, where he arrived without life.
From the Medical Emergency System (SEM) they have specified that after becoming unwell, the athlete was treated at first by the organization's medical services, which did everything possible to revive him.
