This weekend starts the Multisport World Championships 2023 in Ibiza, with the Duathlon test as the first discipline to be held on Saturday, April 29.
Spain has medal options in a very high-level championship.
The test and its circuits
The Duathlon test will be held over a sprint distance, with 5 km of running, 20 km of cycling and 2,5 km of running. Consult the test circuits here
Outstanding Spanish participation
Mario Mola leads the Spanish male participation after obtaining the bronze in the European Duathlon. She will team up with Iván Gil, Antonio Benito y Miquel Angel Capó.
Among the rivals to watch, the French team led by Benjamin Choquert and duathletes such as Arnaud Dely, Hugo Milner, James Teagle or Daan De Groot stand out.
In the female category, the Spanish María Varo he will look for the medal after being close to the podium in the European.
Other athletes to watch out for are heavy favorite Joselyn Brea, Marion Legrand, Sandrina Illes, Giorgia Priarone, Maurine Ricour, Marion Legoff and Ai Ueda.
